Jade Leaf Matcha is produced by the Kizuna Tea Collective - a thriving network of family-run tea farms across Japan. They have been supplying Japan's domestic market with high quality matcha since 1858. Our tea masters, Morita-san and Shimooka-san, are among the most decorated, with a combined 100+ years of experience. They bring together hand-selected tea leaves from each harvest to create a unique, well-rounded flavor profile.

We're proud of the relationships we've built along the way with our partner tea farmers and with our customers. It's exciting to help people enjoy matcha in a variety of ways — purely, organically, and without breaking the bank. Authentic Japanese matcha that is certified organic is still in extremely scarce supply (less than 1% of Japanese tea farms are certified!) — and we have been carefully forming partnerships with the preeminent farms to be able to supply the best quality organic matcha for fair value.

Our quality standards were developed through a combination of state and federal guidelines as well as consultation with scientific research and analysis. Shade grown for 3-4 weeks prior to harvest to boost nutrient content, selectively picked with stems and veins removed to improve texture and taste, and then ground into an ultrafine powder to keep delicate nutrients intact.

Ceremonial grades are from first harvest leaves, have a smoother flavor suitable for traditional preparation as a tea (just mixed with hot water and whisked), and are more expensive. Culinary grades are from later harvest tea leaves, have a bolder flavor meant for mixing into recipes as an ingredient, and are more affordable. Both are brimming with healthy tea antioxidants.

Our single serve stick packs provide on-the-go convenience for our premium Ceremonial Matcha. Just add a stick pack to iced or hot water for tea and add milk for lattes. Our stick packs, pouches, and tins are resealable and can be used on their own, or to refill tins. We offer a variety of sizes for best value.
